VL - Virtual Live Interface
VL.EXE is a live interface designed for Virtual Advanced
systems. With a VLIVE session in progress, your BBS can share
the ADVAUX teleconference, and multi-player games programmed
         for VLIVE.
VL.EXE COMMAND LINE USAGE
Note that <ch> refers to Virtual Advanced Channel Number.

         VL <ch> /CALL=<phone number of remote VA BBS> [/EXIT=<mins>]

Dials the phone number given and attempts to CONNECT.
Once detected, system identification is automatic.

NOTE: Answering VLIVE calls is a function automatically
handled by Virtual Advanced BBS software. To disable VLIVE,
simply delete VL.EXE from your system.

/EXIT is an optional parameter, and if used will cause VLIVE
to automatically hang-up after a specified period of time.
(Thus, you can utilize VL startup/shutdown automatically
as an unattended event if desired.)
VCONFIG SET-UP FOR VLIVE
There is only one parameter that needs to be set-up
for VLIVE. That is, your system's identifier on the VLIVE network.
The only stipulation is that you choose a unique identifier not
already in use by someone else on the network, and that the
         maximum length be 8 characters.
DIALING, CONNECTING, AND AUTO-IDENTIFICATION
Once you execute the VL.EXE program as specified earlier
in this document, it will use the channel you've specified to
dial the phone number you specified on the command line.

Once you successfully connect to another system capable
of VLIVE, the two systems will automatically identify each other
and the VLIVE Control Panel will come up on the screen for the
         duration of your session.

Note: If you successfully connect to the remote site, but fail
during the identification stage, the possibilities are:

         1) Your VLIVE site name is the same as the system you are calling,
or the same as another system on the network.

Solution: Choose a new site name. All system must use a unique
                      site name.

         2) The limit for systems on the network at any one time (100)
            has been reached.

            Solution: Try again later.
VLIVE CONTROL PANEL COMMANDS
There are a number of commands you can use at the VLIVE
         Control Panel:

         OFF
QUIT .......................... End the Session (Hang-Up)

NEWS ON / ...................... Continuous News Broadcast
NEWS OFF (File NEWS.LDL, Short Text File)

SEND <text> .................... Sends Text To Remote Consoles

         FREQ <system> <file> ........... Request A File

         FILE <system> <file> ........... Send A File (If <system> omitted,
                                           sends to ALL)

KILL SEND <file> ............... Kills A File Send Operation
KILL RECV <file> ............... Kills A File Recv Operation

All of the above commands can be used in a VLIVE script.

To execute a VLIVE script, either issue a RUN command from the
         VLIVE console:

         RUN <file>

Or initiate it from the command line:

         VLIVE /CALL=5551111 /EXIT=10 /RUN=VL2.SCR

VL2.SCR would be a text file containing one or more VLIVE
         commands.
