Yes, the invalid socket handle error is the one it mentions.

Yes, I installed NOD32 on the computer and ran SpySweeper and Spybot S&D, but
uninstalled spysweeper & spybot. The firewall is NOT ACTIVE, and the router is
set up for telnet to come to port 23 on this computer

> What all is running on the computer?

It is dedicated to the BBS, nothing else.
