Mine definately isn't the fastest but gets the job done. I'm running on a P3
500mhz with 256MB of RAM using Windows 2000. So really any PC you build today
will be better than what I'm using. All of my servers are dedicated which I
think is important because users won't feel the computer being stressed of me
playing a game or doing other stuff.

As for bandwidth, you only need more if users upload or download a lot - telnet
uses hardly any bandwidth. My current rate is 5000Kbps down and 512Kbps up.
Soon they'll offer 16000 down and 2000 up here but I really don't want to pay
more. For servers, you want the most upload speed you can get. Again it's
really only needed if you are transferring files. Mine seems to do decently and
it's handling the BBS, mail server, ftp server and the web sites.
