-=> Galaxyman spoke thus to jahmas <=- Hello there! Ga> I've been testing no-ip and it looks pretty good. The only problem I've Ga> ran into is that, for instance, I made a test domain called Ga> galaxynet.serveblog.net Ga> If you type http://galaxynet.serveblog.net there is no problem with Ga> resolution. Ga> But if you type www.galaxynet.serveblog.net or Ga> http://www.galaxynet.serveblog.net it will not take you to my site. I Ga> wonder if they need to make an additional entry in their dns list or Ga> something or is this just how you have to reference the site without Ga> the www. Have you had this problem? Actually that's not surprising. Since you aren't registering a domain simply hosting off a dynamic server. Before it will show up on the World Wide Web you would have to register a domain name for example yourdomain.com , notify them of the dns address of the server and then you would be able to use the www prefex. As an example I have a domain registered at www.soundsoftsystems.com which is on the web and I also run Synchronet BBS software which can be reached at http:\\tcp.synchro.net . The only difference being the Soundsoft domain is registered and the bbs web page is not. Hopefully this little rant of mine made sense. ================================================================== _ __/| Having a bad day?
