Yes cars have changed a bit and as usual, when specs get tighter and engines gets more complex, the easier it is for something to really screw it up. Even with today's advances most of the materials used in the construction of then engines really hasn't changed much yet, Yes they may run cleaner longer, but why push it to it's limits?
