Tolerances and specifications are tighter, the family car will most likely have multiport fuel injection, electronic ignition etc. The days of sloppier tolerances, mechanical advance distributors and 4 barrel carburation are over. Engines run cleaner for longer. Why the timing belt and spark plugs on my Honda will get their first change at 100,000 miles :0 Although I would like to put some nice NGKs and silicone wires on it right now. jah |
