Hi all, I'm currently working on a VADV system mainly to test out the new VADV-PHP features. I've been waiting on someone to port a BBS to the web using PHP because I would like to host a large amount of networked message bases on the web. Modern content managers just do not have this feature and this is where the power of the ole' BBS comes into play. Synchronet is another nice system but to some users, like me, it is just too time consuming to learn. The BBS is basicly up and running minus the telnet "it's a long story". The install was simple, no problems. The built-in BBS finder with VADV32 works great. I set up an account and it updated the first time as soon as I filled in the username/pw. Right now, the BBS name is GalaxyNET. Hopefully it will be online soon, a few weeks, as long as no unforseen obsticals are in the way. Mainly my ISP nice to meet everyone, Lithus EHN MUSIC VBBS/VA 1995-1996 -- [AT2k] -- Your VBBS/VADV Support Center -- [www.at2k.org] -- [bbs.at2k.org] |
