I just remembered somthing. That for some reason when I run anything major in
dos mode (Ping, IPCONFIG, ect), I have to run it from the c:\windows\system
directory. So what I did, is go to that directory, and typed c:\va\vstring.exe
Boom, it asked me what file I wanted to compile. So I typed
c:\VA\TXT\DEFAULT.S and it compiled it. Now it is working. Strange thing.
But I just remembered that I had to do that in any DOS enviroment. So I guess
I need to find the memory resident paths and type in that System directory, so
it will run the command window under that enviroment or something. Kinda like
in OLD DOS, you had to type in the autoexec (or config.sys I don't remember),
paths=c:\dos;c:\windows ect.
