     The fact that the guitarist in your band who reads standard notation
plays better than the one who plays by tab only proves:
     1) he has more inate talent
     2) he practices more
Example, I play mostly by tab, my fiance reads sheet music.  The thing is,
she won't ever be able to play guitar as well as I can, she can't coordinate
two hands doing two different things like that.  However, she's a kicking
flautist, an instrument I'll never play well.
