Re: ID Diz utilities > Does anyone know of an old utility that makes the ID Diz file for an archived > file? > Jahmas I use a batch file and a dos editor. I made the batch to make adding a fileid.diz easyer. it opens each .zip in thecurrent directory one at a time it puts the content in a temp dir. then it calls my dos editor to open fileid.diz if it exists it is opened if not a new file named fileid.diz is in my editor waiting to be edited. the bat also tryes to open *.doc but usualy it wants me to pick a file to open next so i choose the one that looks like it might contain info like read.me etc. then I cut and paste from doc to iddiz then save fileid.diz. the bat then adds fileid.diz to the zip nukes the temp stuff and moves the zip to another dir. then on to the next zip file.
