   Europe forecast - March 11, 2025
   Continental showers, some heavy
   Mostly dry northeast

   Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 11th March 2025
   Duty forecaster: Dan Graves

   Frequent heavy rains and strong breezes affect Italy and neighboring
   countries and coastlines. The east will be driest though mostly cloudy,
   occasional bright or sunny spells peeking through.

   Tuesday
   Showers widely across Portugal and Spain. Showers will ease towards
   dusk in Portugal, with remaining showers in Spain easing overnight.
   Risk of heavy showers eastward over the Mediterranean Islands and along
   the French/Italian coast. Showers into northern Italy, drier with a few
   sun spells south. Some sun along the northernmost Adriatic coasts,
   heavy rain south towards western Greece. Dry and fine though plenty of
   cloud around the Aegean and T├╝rkiye.
   Much of France will see afternoon showers. Heavy persistent rain in the
   southeast, lighter rain in the far north. Some rain extending into
   Belgium as well, dry in The Netherlands. Afternoon showers into
   southern Germany with some heavy bursts in Switzerland and Austria.
   Czechia, Poland, and eastern Alpine countries will be fine and mostly
   dry. Risk of heavy rain for a time in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary,
   and Croatia. These rains will reach into north Romania and Ukraine as
   well.
   Rain in Denmark, snow in southern Norway. Cloudy and mostly dry across
   Sweden, some rain and snow pushing into southernmost areas later. Fine
   in Finland and the Baltic states with sunny spells.

   Wednesday
   A new wave of showery rain arrives in Portugal and Spain, eastern areas
   staying fine. Shower over the Balearics soon clear for sun, staying
   showery with heavy rain and thunder Corsica and Sardinia. Heavy rains
   in central Italy may be persistent with some heavy spells into northern
   and southern areas. These heavy rains will reach the Adriatic Coast in
   the later afternoon. Cloudy with some drizzle in Greece and T├╝rkiye.
   A cool breeze from the north will be felt in northern France, Low
   Countries, and Germany. Showery drizzle into all these areas as well,
   southern France and southern Germany may see some heavy showers. Snow
   and showers affect Switzerland and Austria. Showers widely in Czechia
   and Poland. East of here, showers will be possible, though only
   isolated. A warm breeze in the southeast.
   Denmark and south Sweden will see rain and sleet with sunny spells
   intermixed. Norway mostly dry inland with snow onto central and
   southern coasts. Cooling in Norway and Finland, often fine with sun
   breaks in the north. Mostly dry and cloudy in the Baltics.
