So what were > you trying to say again, I must have missed it in all hot air you were > blowing your ego up with. it doesn't say "guitar players only forumn", i think i have a right to post here. as far as your band and their money, i'm happy that you're doing that well. as it is i'm not in my band for money and proabably never will be, but right now its just a bunch of 13 year olds. so us not making that money is something one could and should be able to accept easily. what i was prooving was that having the ability to read music helps alot, and i proved that by saying that one of my guitarists can read music, the other can only read tab, and the one that reads music is better than the other one. thats what i'm trying to say. as for clapton (who i dont listen to btw) and hendrix, i never once said that you couldn't be a good guitar player if you cant read music. what i've been trying to say is that i feel, and this is my opinion that i am entitled to whether its wrong or right, that if a guitarist feels as though he doesn't need to learn music, that he shouldn't be held in nearly as high regard because learning music is an important part of playing music. |
