Recently received satellite wind data indicates that Tropical Depression Twelve has become Tropical Storm Kirk with maximum sustained winds of about 45 mph (70 km/h). The satellite imagery also suggests the system has reformed a bit south of the earlier estimated position. This information with an updated track and intensity forecast will be reflected in the upcoming advisory at 11am AST.
