I got a "hand me down" Dell quad core from my wife who uses fast processors for her CAD / architecture drawings. Unfortunately with Dell you have to navigate around their proprietary BIOS but, was able to install pristeen Win 7 32 bit on it and find the network card in it. Interestingly I can only log into it via internet and not remotely via the home network as it is hard wired vs wireless. I did fix the IP address as static but perhaps another device is sharing that address so I'll try another number. Anyhow I did transfer the BBS there and will set up networking and my web server again with that PHP feature. I used to like Abyss but I know other folks use Apache etc. Wondering if another mailer for fido and FTN networks would be better than Radius such as D'Bridge. My Fido NC, Nick Andre is the D'Bridge guru. New learning curve here :O Mysteria Majicka BBS: Cape Cod Massachusetts. Running Virtual Advanced BBS on 10 Nodes.
