Iam still lurking about and have my VADV board on a Win7 box but not up and running. I am focusing on multiple FTN networks and looking at D'Bridge as a mailer with Nick Andrea's help. My Fido NC lost interest and the New England NC was not available so I went with Nick in Canada for a fido feed. This is when I started realizing that this software was very versatile. He uses it for Fidonet, UseNet and many other nets and serves many different nodes. I know that Mark Hoffman who is now the NC of WWIVnet is using D'Bridge for his purposes. I jokingly asked Nick if I could be a Fido NC for Massachusetts and he said I could be up and running in days. But... I have been so friggin busy with work and life this summer that it is kind of hanging right now. I think that I would be content with my simple VADV board, using D'Bridge as a mailer and having like 5 good FTN networks available for users. Fido is dwindleing into just a handful of active echos. WWIVnet is fairly active with there new availability for FTN across platforms. I also am nostalgic for VirtualNet. Maybe this is the new year's resolution early I need to do my homework jah -- [AT2k] -- Your VBBS/VADV Support Center -- [www.at2k.org] -- [bbs.at2k.org] |
