Yeah, I would have to say being able to read music would make you a better
musician.  That doesn't mean that you can't play an instrument well if you
can't read music.  You might be like the most awesome guitarist around, and
can play all kinds of cool stuff, but it helps if you know what you're
playing, and can write it down so other people can know, too.
