I taught myself, and after a year and a half I'd say I have more talent than these only power chord bands. I'm now starting to delve into the realm of soloing and I think I'm getting there. My piano background definatly helped me through it. I just tried to move piano arranged for guitar back over to piano and I realize how rusty I am, but I can improvise real well on piano. If fact I was at a party and I was just fooling around and a friend of mine asked me to kepp playing because he liked it, and this kid is a real good drummer/brass/guitar player so it was a valuable opinion. I think playing rhythm is pretty easy depending on what it is. If it's just all open chords I should have no problem after about two or three runs of the song. Anyway gotta go buh-bye ...
