I have a fairly new P Bass that I just put a Badass bridge on. I would like to to put a jazz pickup on it closer to the bridge for more bite when slapping. Then I got the idea of putting a Music Man Stingray humbucker on it. I would get a blank pickguard and re-route the hole for the pickup but since it has active electronics I would have to route out a battery cavity on the back. Just some thoughts. I know that Seymour Duncan makes a replacement humbucker setup for the Music Man with all the electronics i.e., knobs etc. It would look and sound really nice. Just thoughts though. What makes the P bass nice is the fact that it is not active and it is great the way it is Jah |
