Re: BBS visit

IMO bbs's are viable and can offer blogs, networked message boards, and files
all stored securely on an individual's workstation. Also, with a built-in
network list there is no need for search engines like google and yahoo to find
the information you are looking for.

Information should be delivered to you on a daily basis based on your interests
"joining message bases, networked file databases", you should not have to
search for it. With this said, bbs file and message databases can be networked
as well but this takes time, effort and money. And with time, effort, and
money the possibilities are limitless with bbs style networking.

Also, bbs's still function in multiple access areas if the internet was to have
connectivity problems.

Hopefully, BBS's will re-invent themselves to be more web based and one-click
install. But, this will take desire, leadership, and money which the community
needs as most has moved to the Portals and Content Management systems such as
wordpress.

These CMS systems will eventually evolve and have many networked features that
bbs's had years ago. BBS's will evolve to include web based features of CMS"s.
