Agreed, we did start off sortof on the wrong foot about the FMPT/TOPT kludge.

He interpreted my use of the phrase "You should" to mean "You must" which 
wasn't true.

We very quickly cleared that up via Netmail, which turned into many 
hilarious conversations about non-Fido/non-BBS things...  normal stuff.
