 Do they bother you? I politely tell them "I'm a Roman Catholic, you
 practice what you beleive and respect what I beleive, and thanks but
 no thanks." The secret is to be firm and LOOK THEM IN THE EYE.
 (A shotgun in your hand doesn't hurt either! <G> Sorry, Thunder, I
 think I get possed at times!!)

 Same thing, a firm "No thanks" and just HANG UP!!! WHY does anyone let
 themselves be subjected to unsolicited phone telemarketing and spend
 time listening to them?????? It's YOUR phone and YOUR time, and they
 are NOT respecting either! This is one area where courtesy does NOT
 pay, and if I am in a particularly bad mood when those jerks call,
 I can be VERY rude on the phone! But! Sometimes it is FUN when they
 call; get creative and start playing with their minds, it really can
 be great sport at no cost! Let 'em talk, put down the phone, do some-
 thing, and come back, ask them to repeat it! Fire up your modem! It's
 hillarious! I had one slob wanting to pre-resister me for some scam,
 so he asked me to confirm my mother's maiden name... I asked him what
 HIS mothers maiden name was! Or ask for their home phone number so you
 can "get back to them".

 Really, sincerely, and seriously I swear my telephone solicitations
 have gone down dramatically since I discovered 'NO' and 'Phun with
 Phone Jerks!'
