The strange part is it costs MORE to execute a person than to store them away for life. I'd say go figure, but why bother? There is little logic to it other than all legal avenues must be exhausted (fine), then NEW ones created (duh!). And as if it matters, I think she should have been toasted well-done too. BR#@> As for the insanity part, she could have been nuts, but not insane.. Doesn't appear she was insane, unless non-psychotic major depression is considered insanity (psychiatrists say no), but no matter, in many states one can be judged legally "insane", yet, if they understand what is going on in court, they can be executed. THIS is strange, too, but is one area where I strongly disagree with excuting the "insane", as a person can be severly mentally ill but by fluke of legal residence be subject to the inconsistancies of differing state interpretations of competence.
