Hi Mr Runner!

I am fixing into your echo from England, and have followed some of your latest
arguments with interest.

I am all for citizens rights, but when does the right to carry firearms (which
must have been made for a reason in the 1800's) become the right to get shot by
any person who is old enough to purchase a gun????

Now I have not been to the States yet and could be way out of line (if so tell
me!) but isn't this a catch 22 thing? It would scare the hell out of me knowing
that any local scumbag (thats the phrase?) can get hold of a high power weapon,
and loose of a load of bullets when he has had a few beers.

GET REAL..... What is the problem with strict gun controls? If you are a hunter
or a sportsman then get a license that means you have been vetted and approved
to own certain types of weapons. But if they are easily available legally and
on
the street then the people will keep dying.

Well this does sound a bit opinionated, and I apologise for that, but if
nothing else I hope this gets some debate going :-)

Steve Mack
