The difference is today people don't believe in > personal responsibility, they run from anything that causes ANY inconvenience > in their lives. Today, a long term relationship means he remembers her name > the next morning. People DO get divorces for their personal convenience. I have no idea if you guys have ever attended college or not, but I have an EXCELLENT Anthropology book which referencs the HIGH divorce rate in ANCIENT ROME. It seems that when women are no longer financially DEPENDENT on the men in their lives, they are less willing to put up with our Macho Bull. Further, as more and more women enter the workplace at an EQUAL level, they do not spend as much time at home, making US partly responsible for the home we live in. (Personally, I HATE DOING THE DISHES!) Mostly, I can live with my wife working, and I feel it's fair to put in my share around the house. Some men aren't quite ready for this yet. The high divorce rates actually have VERY LITTLE to do with "decaying moral standards," and very MUCH to do with economic self-sufficiency. If you two are attending a college, enroll in an anthropology class. If not attending, maybe there is a university nearby which offers it at night. Not only was the class a lot of fun, but I learned a lot about WHY people act the way they do, and what our primal motivators are. Check it out. ͸ ͻͻ͸ ͸ ͻ ; I'm the one yer Mama ϸĶ ϸ ϸ ; warned you not to play ; ͼ ; with anymore!
