You can easily change that situation around:

If I'm a 200lbs guy with a knife and I want to rob you, a 115lbs female, what
do you do?  Run?  No, you reach for the gun in your pocket.  As you pull it
out to tell the guy to freeze.  You are nervous, shocked, and practically
scared to death.  As you are shaking he starts to tell you "Calm down.  I
won't hurt you" and BAM he grabs the gun from you.  Having the strength
advantages he wins the battle and ends up shooting you in the struggle.

You and I could trade hypothetical situations back and forth all day long.
