In a perfect world it would be nice if all homeowners were responsible and well-trained gun owners. However, a good deal do not take care of their guns and tragic accidents end up occuring with more "homeowners" dying then the criminals. Perhaps I am being a little misunderstood...I realize dumping the 2nd ammendment is not the answer and I have never said that. My point was just to consider when the ammendment was applied and times are different now compared to then. I would be less against guns if more would be done to make sure people owning guns were responsible and trained. Unfortunately, I have seen too many people who have no idea how to take care of a gun and innocent people end up dying.
