Let's take the First Amendment. When it was written, television and radio
wasn't even a dream. The First Amendment specifically states "freedom of the
press". It was argued that this did not apply to radio and TV or electronic
boards, yet the Supreme Court ruled that it was the intent of the writers
that it should. They said that the Constitution was applicable to any time
period.
