 <shaking head>. I wish I could say, "I don't beleive it", but alas, I do.

 Black Tallon, do you know what the word "compassion" means? Did you
 fully read the man's post? He is DISABLED, so he's going to rebuild
 his car? His income is LIMITED, so he's going to hire an attorney? Why
 else would he post that plea? Perhaps he couldn't afford full theft
 coverage? He is also FRUSTRATED, and at the mercy of a justice system
 turned inside out with screwed up priorities. He is ANGRY, like many in
 this sub are, and -you- are per your divorce.

 Now, what's blue book value really got to do with anything when he is not
 going to GET anything, anyway? Yep, he made a BAD mistake leaving that
 equipment in his car, and we all by human nature do stupid -- and stupider
 -- things, too. And sometimes we pay, and dearly. But his mistake is water
 under the bridge, and we don't need to congradulate him on his mistakes,
 but understanding his misfortune as fellow living breathing imperfect
 humans and not knocking a man when he is down is one of those common court-
 esies we seem to lack today. Under the circumstances, if you couldn't post
 anything postivie to -really- help, it would have been better to not post
 anything at all.

 Turn your flame on if you wish, but you should be very lucky to have any
 friends at all.
