I understand how a woman could like at the last name situation.  "Why do I
have to take his name?  Can't he take mine?"  Personally, I do not think it
matters so if your wife chooses not to take your last name then so be it.  If
you are really love her, and she loves you, what's the difference?  She may
want to keep her name because she is proud of her family name.
