A lot of parents seem to think their kids are destined to do some high paying intellectual work and will frown at them doing menial tasks for a quick buck. They won't admit it this way, of course. But there is this silent disapproval from some parents when the kid is found looking for some quick buck when he should be trying to get his Laws degree or something. Then parents also try to interfere. If the kid is found selling lemonade for half a dollar the glass, they will get angry because a kid as special as them should be selling it at 5 bucks. And yes, parents giving kids too much money is an issue, but kids who have been educated to look up at entepreneurs and such are more likely to get the money and invest it in something rather than turn it into vodka. At least that is my observation. -- gopher://gopher.richardfalken.com/1/richardfalken --- SBBSecho 3.14-Linux * Origin: Palantir * palantirbbs.ddns.net * Pensacola, FL * (618:250/24) |
