They should revisit the idea that they had for busses what was it in the 1950s
for four years or so. where the bus has a crazy 3000rpm flywheel spinning 
violently inside the guts of the bus and hits charging stations every 3.7 
miles thats 6km for the metric crowd. I know they played around with it again 
in 1979 and again in the 80s and yet again in the 90's and again in 2005.

So many attempts but nobody has figured out how to perfect the practice.
if they used this checkpoint system they could use much smaller batterys then 
just place these charging stations on small sections of the route. like maybe 
at and before stoplights. Fire up the flywheel and charge that smaller battery
for the next 10 minutes on the way to the next charging station.
