If people would just stay home when they develop symptoms of  
cold/flu then "it" wouldn't run rampant.

The cold/flu spreads by coughing/sneezing. But if you have no  
symptoms, and you're not coughing/sneezing, you're NOT spreading  
anything.

There a couple of large chain grocery stores in my town. One of  
them stopped the endless wiping-down of the carts after each  
return. People just return the carts to the front door where  
they are typically stacked up, and the next person just takes  
what's there.

If the sick would stay home, "it" would die off before it gets a  
chance to keep spreading.
