Hello Mike! ** On Saturday 06.06.20 - 10:21, Mike Powell wrote to AUGUST ABOLINS: >> The user guide needs a re-write. Vince's 1st language doesn't seem to be >> English. MP> I *think* he is in Ireland, so maybe it is Irish. I am not sure how many MP> "not English as a first language" folks there are in Ireland these days. MP> My bad.. I was thinking that Vince was based in Italy. What initially made me assume non-english were his spelling mistakes in the early echomails in ELIST echo. Now, I gather the errors are more of a programmer's habit to type fast and miss the spelling of things (which a compiler would identify). I couldn't tell you how many times I've mis- typed THE as TEH. There could be many other examples, even in programming. MP> I feel like he was either bored, or thought he had to come up with MP> something really complicated.. It seems to follow the old set of commands for the most part. But the "trick" to replace old MOD with a new one seemed to necessitate the <tag>1.ECO, then <tag>2.ECO then <tag>3>.ECO sequence. Many old-timers were getting that wrong. LOL The latest results in ELIST seem to indicate that you made it! Welcome to the ELIST (or.. gong show?) LOL ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.44 * Origin: my little micronet point (618:510/1.1) |
