Umm..I think it has to do something with the fact that the way CDs are
pressed, sometimes they are pressed off-center. And if they are pressed off
center, the faster you spin them, the more they vibrate. If you spin a CD at
500x faster than an audio CD and it's even the slightest bit off center,
serious things will start happening.
