I heard an interesting podcast with Adam Driver - he'd enlisted in the 
military after 9/11, to be medically discharged after basic due to an 
accident. He started Arts in the Armed Forces (aitaf.org), a group of 
actors who would go out to bases and started off performing monologues, and 
expanded into a group of actors who would use theater and the arts to start 
conversations among the military, all in all a very interesting cause that 
entertains and promotes dialogues about charged issues without being too 
blatant.
