Make sure that there is a line in your CONFIG.SYS that has your CD driver (like ATAPI.SYS or SLCD.SYS) followed by the /D:MSCD000. Then, open your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, and make sure that it has the MSCDEX.EXE line followed by the exact same thing, like /D:MSCD000. That might be your problem. Sometimes, there is a /D:MSCD001 in the Config.sys file, and the Autoexec.bat file has /D:MSCD000. That would cause it not to recognize the device. |
