Re: Re: Leaving US? Where to By: Mike Powell to KURT WEISKE on Thu Apr 25 2024 06:53 pm > Did the tax benefits from 0-13 offset the maintenance costs? I am guessing > not, right? The tax benefits don't, but if you go the low-to-no-income strategy then you try and get extra money from elsewhere. I mean, you are not even paying tax if you are not working a legal job anyway. Here they used to pay Gypsies for each kid they sent to school instead of kept at home. Something people often overlooks is that low-to-no-income people can use kids as an investment. As soon as a kid can plow, cook, etc. he will pay you off in work-hours. I don't think this idea really applies to the lazy-burden style sucker who intends to live without work, but I am sure you get the concept. That is something I love about horses, btw. You raise your little horse-children and then you have them mow your lawn all day long, saving you so much time and fuel. Best of all is they are so grateful to you for being your garden slaves. -- gopher://gopher.richardfalken.com/1/richardfalken --- SBBSecho 3.20-Linux * Origin: Palantir * palantirbbs.ddns.net * Pensacola, FL * (618:250/24) |
