well uber and lyft and doordash have some type of liability coverage for the
drivers.  it does not protect the car but protects other car. looks like this
only kicks in if your insurance refuses.

if you have a car that is financed, i'm pretty sure they don't want you driving
that car for any of this stuff. I don't think they really track it well or have
an ability to track it as of yet.

people that deliver for gig jobs should have commercial insurance, but they
don't.  i don't.

Apparently the popular ones have 'rideshare' insurance which provides 'extra'
coverage that is required for doordash, uber, lyft.  i'm not going to get a
quote and get marked by them to find out the price.
