Take a look at your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files, if you don't know how
just :> at the dos prompt type EDIT AUTOEXEC.BAT and look for anything about
you cd-rom. CAREFUL YOU DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING YET. If not there try EDIT
CONFIG.SYS and look for anything about you cd-rom. if you don't find anything
then your computer doesn't know it exists.  I hope that helps a little
