Not sure if you have since gotten more of this story but Canada was aware of
this spy balloon heading towards the USA for several days and had informed
your gov't of its existance, not to suggest your people would not have seen
it just as quickly once it entered your air space..

China was not amused that their 'Weather Balloon' which drifted off course
(from China?) was destroyed rather than allowed to return home with, one
assumes, a prediction of coming weather - possibly getting Hot in China. B)
