i think i have it working. he was probably rushing things. 
there are other nets that arent working but i think they may be defunct.
I have 5 of the active ones working.

I've seen plenty of people that know everything about FTN fuck up things
royally. They should know how to set things up.  I've even fixed their work
on other people's systems.  I don't remember much of this anymore because
it's been so long.  I had Shannon Talley and Bryan Turner show me how to
setup nets with various softwares but it's been a loooong time.  it's not
rocket surgery, though.

I had to literally create a msg menu in one of his 100
menus[Dhidden msg menu
in one of his 100 menus so could change conf, change msg area , read and newscan
properly to check if things
