Back before my time, Nikita Kruschev threatened that the USSR would bury
us.  There has been a theory that he didn't mean militarily but by
infiltrating our education system and other institutions that our society
depends on.

The USSR might be long gone but, if they started in the 1960's (or
earlier), the people who are teaching and doing these things today might
not have any idea how or why they learned those things.
