It seems most of the world keeps score by how much money a person has, which
is a bit of a sad situation.. You need whatever is required to live but you
also have to have some savings to cover costs beyond your pension as you get
older. It's not unusual for a room in a Care Facility to cost double or triple
the basic government pension amounts and an added issue is that a lot more
people are living so much longer you could find yourself in one of these
places for 10 or 20 years..
