Why do lefties panick everytime their favourite platform is purchased?

They did just the same thing with the Freenode drama. They started accusing the
new owner of being a Trump supporter and left before he took any measure.
The few that remained back were openly hostile torward the new management and
started complaining when channels which promoted Liberachat (Freenode's
competitor) were closed.

The fact the new owner was an abysmal manager and managed to piss of the users
who wanted to stay didn't help either.
