I think social media like Facebook has run its course.  The current
generation have an attention span of a goldfish and know nothing else but
instant gratification which is why platforms like Twitter are so popular.

I have been hit with the banhammer a few times on Facebook and am now
shadowbanned but I don't care.  I have a Twitter account but mainly use it
for the BBS (@BBSOutpost is my BBS' Twitter account; my personal one is
@digimaus).

I'd much rather use a BBS or amateur radio.  Generally an overall better
class of people to interact with.
