     Dominique,

You are so good for my ego. It does take time of course but had I
gotten the support I was promised two years ago, WWR would already BE a
glossy rag. It's frustrating as hell to feel like you are just starting out
after two years of doing the same publication.
What I need more than anything are a few good people to sell
advertising! I've written an ad package up and it's ready to go out to
people who want to sell ads on commission. In fact, the current commission
rate is 25% so that's nothing to sneeze at. A person who wanted to work at
it could probably make enough to take that summer vacation or buy that new TV
for their den. ;-)
If not for the fact that I HATE selling ANYTHING and that I have my
hands full with the production of WWR and my freelance career, I could
probably sell ads myself. But that's not going to happen in THIS lifetime.
The next step is to get someone working on distribution. I want to get
WWR placed on some magazine racks. A nice chain store contract would do that.
I've tried getting listed in Writer's Digest Magazine as a market but
they evidently don't list competing markets. Funny, they listed The
Aphrodisiac TWICE and it WAS a porn rag. Go figure. I've also tried to get
listed in The Writer as a market, mostly as a way to get more submissions,
and they won't list us, they say, because we aren't yet a paying market. But
I find it very interesting that I have about 20 pages copied out of their
magazine, of nonpaying market listings. Hmmmm

          Rhia
