RRD#@> I think that when people find out you have a computer and that you'r RRD#@>writer, they start looking for ways to rope you into doing a newsletter! I think you're right! I always have folks who want me to do newsletters or campaign brochures...and don't quite understand when I tell them I don't do a lot of free work any more (the Chamber newsletter is kind of a part of my day job...we choose to be active in our Chamber, and that's how I chose to be active--figuring it would do me more good personally to produce a nice newsletter than to organize golf outings <G>...but it's a "volunteer job". The campaign stuff I've done for friends has been just a favor for friends, but I "retired" once I found a paying job writing for the newspaper). Doing any sort of newsletter can be a very frustrating job...and I've refused to take on any other newsletters at this point. OTOH, if someone makes me an offer (a paying offer, that is)... <g> RRD#@>There's a conspiracy I tell you! :-) But then again, doing WWR and the RRD#@>newsletter for the club has gotten me an offer from a new company to do RRD#@>newsletters for businesses for $20 an hour so I guess all that practice c RRD#@>in handy if you like DTP. You remember the story of how I parlayed my newsletter experience into a job with the newspaper, right? Guess you just have to make sure you weigh the advantages of doing a newsletter and exploit that experience when you can! * OLX 2.1 TD * ...Jesus Saves! Gretzky rebounds! Scores!! |
