     About the only "free" access that I know of in this area is through the
college.  You can access through Pacifier and two other, less well known
companies, that have local access numbers.  You can contact Pacifier for rates
by writing to doug@pacifier.com from this system.  You can access using
Procomm.  I think a basic account runs about $50 a year for two hours a day.
     We do carry an Internet newsgroup called misc.writing, here on this BBS
and you can post to a host of other writers there.  misc.writing pulls in
about 300 messages a day or more.
