     Kathleen,

We all have to start somewhere! Keep writing! It's great to be
published but some of us don't care if we ever are or not, it's enough just
to enjoy the writing process. For me personally, writing is the cake and
getting published is the icing. But who needs all those extra calories? :-)
Goal setting works for some of us and others hate the idea because it's
too much like having another deadline. But I've always enjoyed working with
a deadline. Setting goals helps keep me focused. I will admit though, I
usually forget what my goals were until I get ready to write them for the
next week. So I think I do pretty well, considering.
I started the Goal Post when this sub was on Prodigy, a long time ago.
It worked better there because people saw and responded to the post the same
day it was posted. On this network, I think that people usually don't see
the post until about Wednesday and by then, their week is half over. I'd
hoped that people would catch on and post their goals each Friday or Saturday.
I hope you will come back to Writer's Workshop often!

          Rhia
