     Dominique,

I've gotten one positive response from one of the editors. She wants
tear sheets and a few ideas for articles. Now the problem finding a copy of
the magazine. I went to the library and spent a couple of hours looking for
it. Then I spent several days looking around in the various magazine racks
in the stores I go to on a regular basis. I finally called the publisher
yesterday and asked WHERE I might find a copy and she gave me the name of a
chain store here that carries it. I hit three of them, about fourty miles
worth of driving, and came up empty handed. One more to try today and then
I'll call and have one sent to me.
This magazine was one of the ones I thought would be least likely to
answer my letter at all. It's a cooking magazine and not really my forte.
They do a lot of reviews and some Northwest travel articles, etc. But I'll
give it a shot anyway. I've always done pretty well writing about things I
don't know anything about. Not that I don't cook, but I've never written
ABOUT cooking on a professional basis other than a few recipe articles that
went along with articles I'd written.

          Rhia
